Mission

The São Paulo State Prosecution Office of Accounts (MPC/SP) is a permanent institution, essential to the jurisdictional function of external control of the State. It is tasked with promoting and monitoring compliance and safeguarding the Constitution and other laws with regard to accounting, financial, budgetary, operational and property oversight for São Paulo State and its municipalities. It is also responsible for defending the legal system, democratic regime, as well as inalienable social and individual rights. To that end, it enacts measures in the interest of justice, government, and the treasury.
